New! Intel Atom Servers

It has become commonplace to see “Virtual Private Servers”  featured prominently on most web hosting company sites these days.  This is a new category of hosting but how much difference is there? You still share one machine with other companies and the software makes it look convincingly like it is your dedicated server, but it is not. Need to reboot the hardware and bring down the other 15 VPS customers on the machine? Not likely.  Or maybe you don’t think it is possible that one of the others VPS customers that you share the server with can bring the entire server down. Of course it can, just like in standard shared hosting you are sharing the same hardware.

The cost is less and that is the only reason that makes it worthy of consideration. What if you could have your own truly dedicated machine for the same price?  Now you can.  We introduce the Atom Server.  This very “green machine” is not a hot-rod but it can do a surprisingly respectable job of hosting one or a handful of websites. Great for entry level dedicated web server where budget a priority but you really want to have complete control over your own machine.
